The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Certification course is designed to educate individuals about the risks of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and how to prevent them. This course is crucial for employees in healthcare settings or those working with potentially infectious materials, as it covers OSHA standards and guidelines for handling blood and other potentially harmful bodily fluids.
Participants will learn how to protect themselves and others from exposure to pathogens, including HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. The course covers proper handling, disposal, and cleaning techniques, as well as how to respond to a potential exposure incident. Upon completion, participants will receive a Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens eCard, valid for two years, ensuring they are properly trained in handling these critical situations.
